PHYSICAL CHANGES:

❧ Phytosymbiote: The combination of plant and animal tissues has altered Gladion's overall appearance and external anatomy. Most of his body is covered in a green, vascularized layer of plant tissue bearing a cuticle and sparse trichomes, similar in texture to a rigid but non-woody plant stem. Some parts of his anatomy, particularly the tips of his fingers, have an additional brown woody periderm. In place of hair, a finely-textured grass grows from his scalp.

❧ Weak to Fire: As a nymph, Gladion is particularly vulnerable to injury from fire of any origin. The radiant heat from flames causes pain and inspires unease, and burns rip swiftly through his plant tissues.

❧ Green Eyes: The original green hue of Gladion's irises has spread across the entire surface of his eye. A darker shade marks his pupil.

❧ Ingrain: The root tissue of Gladion's toes and short root clusters at his ankles can absorb nutrients, though their small surface area limits the rate of uptake. To speed nutrient absorption, pale regions of meristem on Gladion's feet and hands can grow thin, branching roots at will, which infiltrate and attach firmly to a substrate. This additional root tissue can then be sloughed off to permit free movement again. The sloughing process can take up to a minute depending on the extent of the roots grown; pulling at or disturbing the roots prematurely can be painful or disorienting.

❧ Groundcover: Some regions on Gladion's back, arms, and legs host a layer of symbiotic plants - mostly dense, feather-like moss, with some ferns and other small, leafy plants. Regular pruning and proper nutrition and light keep this layer short and fairly unobtrusive under loose clothing.

❧ Nutrient Exchange: The structure visible on Gladion's back connects his animal and plant tissues, exchanging water and nutrients across vasculatures and linking with his spinal cord. Outgrowths from it extend into his body cavity and associate with other organs.

❧ Grasping Vines: Three long vines grow from Gladion's back; two extend over his shoulders, each about 6.5 feet long, and one emerges from his mid-back and extends behind him like a tail, about 9 feet long. These vines are prehensile, but strongly reflex-driven. They have powerful grip strength, but not much lifting strength - by coiling up like a winch, they can draw objects towards Gladion or vice-versa, but they lack the leverage to freely throw heavy objects through the air.

❧ Poison Thorns: The tips of Gladion's fingers, which end in woody, bramble-like points, can secrete a venom that quickly induces sleep in humans. The same venom is present in his bite, and his canine teeth are now sharper (though not woody or plantlike).

MAGICAL CHANGES:

❧ Plant Sense: A sixth sense gives Gladion insight into the identity and status of individual plants, and allows him to detect other presences through surrounding plants' sensory observations.

❧ Green Thumb: Gladion's touch restores vitality to damaged and dying plants, and can accelerate the growth of young ones.

❧ Call to Allies: Gladion can take control of nearby plants, coaxing them to grow, wither, blossom, and otherwise behave as he wills.

BEHAVIORAL CHANGES:

❧ Photosynthesis: Sunny, warm conditions make Gladion more energetic and good-tempered.

❧ Climbing habit: Go get on the roof. That's where the sunlight is. Do it do it do it.

❧ Photodormancy: At rest, however, Gladion prefers dark, cool, enclosed spaces, and his sleep is disturbed in excessively bright conditions.

❧ Thigmotropism: Gladion's vines tend to creep and twine along surfaces on reflex, especially objects they can wrap around, like table legs. Or his own legs. And so on.

AAAAHHHHHGGGHHHH WHERE DO I FIND VISUALS ABOUT THIS.

Gladion dresses thicker than his Single Canon Outfit due to it being colder in Ryslig, wanting to cover up most of his monster features in public, and also the various plant growths on his body make baggier clothes much more comfortable to wear.

Generally he looks kind of like he's trying to hack a proto-emo-fashion together from whatever is available in RYSLIG TIME PERIOD. A little edgier than his Single Canon Outfit but still kind of on the more softcore side? Still wears things with gashes ripped out of them, but often there's another layer sewn in underneath, or there's moss bits sticking through them. Lots of obvious hand-sewn bits and bobs.

WIP DESCRIPTION:

Small as hell. About 2 to 2.5 feet tall? Exact numbers pending. A little lighter than you'd expect him to be, very pick-up-able, to his discontent.

Mythical Pokemon vibes. This IS what peak performance looks like. Laugh while you can.

Exchanges size and strength for greatly enhanced plant control abilities. In fog form, Gladion can assemble a much larger "body" out of borrowed and shaped tissues from whatever plants happen to be nearby, grafting them together and connecting to them by growing an extensive network of thin roots from his tail. Plant mecha! This power accelerates hunger like usual. Extra hunger is mitigated by collecting and grafting more plant tissue to himself, instead of growing it from smaller samples; this is kind of environmentally disruptive though :/

The fronds on his head and back are staghorn fern fronds that are just stylized to look like his stupid blocky hair. These are the basis for the one bit of plant manipulation he can do without picking up any extra twigs or vines: forming a hollow staghorn fern pod around himself for protection and camouflage(?).

DESCRIPTION:

Cyborg cat! His proportions are weird and lanky with slightly oversized paws, juvenile cat vibes. His frame is roughly humanoid but has Cat Legs, cat flexibility, and the elongated arms from the bestiary that allow quadrupedal running.

My attention span ran out before drawing pants on him but he is wearing pants. Shirt was a little too much for him to figure out but he is very much wearing pants in any thread.

Takes both the simulacrum water weakness and the manticore cold weakness. He eats meat and has a hunting instinct like a manticore, but also has simulacrum electrified claws (on the robot limbs) and tail prongs.

He can fold himself up into a near-perfect sphere. Most of the sphere's exterior is formed by his wings or tail, with some tufts of fur sticking out. Cat orb.

Psychological traits include very strong cat instincts and a hunting drive from manticore, and difficulty reading emotions, inquisitiveness, and rigid/oversimplified decision making from simulacrum.

PHYSICAL CHANGES:

✧ Angelic Features: Gladion has six back-mounted wings, patterned and colored as in the reference above. He has two additional, small eyes on his face, arranged one above the other in a vertical line down the center of his forehead. His tail resembles Solgaleo's, and he has two thin bovine horns on his head that point upwards as if forming a lunar crescent.

✧ Naphil Stature: Gladion is a little over a foot taller in Naphil form, and his proportions have changed slightly to make him look older. A stranger could reasonably assume he's 18-20 years old.

✧ Luminosity: A halo around Gladion's head emits a steady light. The rest of his body emits a much weaker glow, normally only distinct when he's standing in a shadow. He himself does not cast a shadow.

✧ Insomnia: Gladion is unable to sleep.

✧ Odor of Sanctity: Gladion smells like...Silvally? It's a chimeric animal odor, distinct but inoffensive, and probably mysterious to those who haven't met the Pokemon in question.

MAGICAL CHANGES:

✧ Soul Purge: A torrent of holy energy, directed into a human body, can dislodge the soul for consumption.

✧ Weak to Dark: If the light in Gladion's surroundings dwindles, he becomes physically uncomfortable and compelled to seek out stronger sources of light. In darkness, he enters a state of painful incorporeality. Dark magic is lethally effective against him, especially while incorporeal.

✧ Terrible Sight: Gladion can paralyze a human with awe while in their line of sight.

✧ Sacred Ground: Gladion can create a barrier impassable to all but other Nephilim.

Fog Form

DESCRIPTION:

✧ A luminous, moose-sized beast wreathed in six huge wings. His body appears serpentine in shape, but the details are hard to make out, between the intensity of his glow and his habit of keeping one or more pairs of wings folded around himself. A "mane" of feathers covers his neck and shoulders.

✧ He doesn't seem to have feet, and normally hovers a short distance off the ground, or braces himself against surfaces with his wings and tail. Proper flight requires the use of his wings.

✧ The glow from his body is powerful and painful to look at directly. The halo around his head is particularly bright, obscuring his features, except for the many glowing green eyes scattered across his face. The glow can flare or flutter as a reflex, or he can deliberately brighten it.

✧ His tail is long and lionlike, except that instead of having a tuft at the end, it is tipped with a hard crescent similar in shape and texture to a cow's horns. A point of light is cradled in the crescent. It is as radiant as his halo, but much smaller. This point of light is the focus for many of his spells.
