It's not that the internet made everyone more straightforward and more that you see more arguments online because it's easier to start something when it's not right to someone's face. But it's also different because the internet here is maybe 200 people maximum? and the real internet is several hundred million minimum. You don't see everything, just what gets the most attention.

i gotta say everything ive seen and heard of the internet does not paint a very pretty picture

I mean the internet isn't just message boards. It's also completely changed global communications and made it easier to look up information on just about anything. You can shop online too.

But yeah that's why I'm not much of a poster myself.
